The Democratic Party

Mr. Robert Johnson, Founder of BET Network: “The party, in my opinion…has moved too far to the left.” Mr. Johnson describes himself as a centrist Democrat, and the party has become too liberal for his liking. “I don’t have a particular candidate I’m supporting in the party at this time…if a Democrat is going to beat Trump, then that person…will have to move to the center…”-cnbc.com. 7/9/19.

“Just 25% of Democratic voters want a candidate promising a “bold, new agenda”, which is exactly what the party and media elites are cramming down their throats.-reason.com. 6/20/19.

Gallup found last year that 54% of Democrats support a “more moderate” party, while just 41% support “more liberal.”-reason.com. 6/20/19.

“Since 2004, Gallup has conducted a monthly party affiliation poll.” In Nov. 2016, 31% of voters identified as Democrats; 27% as Republicans; 36% as Independents. A recent poll indicates 27% identify as Democrats; 29% Republicans; 38% Independent.-redstate.com. 8/25/19.

Democratic Presidential candidates have shifted further left than at any other period in U.S. history. Ideas that were considered radical or socialist when proposed by Bernie Sanders in 2016, have been adopted by most 2020 candidates.-redstate.com. 8/25/19. Such policies include: free healthcare for illegal immigrants; taxpayer funded abortions right up until birth.-washingtonexaminer.com. 8/6/19.

Reasons for the downturn in Democratic party affiliation: The Mueller report failed to find sufficient evidence of collusion or obstruction of justice by the President. The efforts of House Democrats to impeach President Trump have become a joke. The radical freshman reps, “have seen their rockstar status fizzle. Their reckless rhetoric, their bigoted statements and their transparent lust for power” have turned off, not only Democrats, but most Americans. The @AOC Green New Deal is “nothing more than a power grab designed to turn America into a socialist nation.”-redstate.com. 8/25/19.

“The majority of Americans oppose the policies the 2020 Democratic candidates have embraced. Voters are against late term abortion, open borders, free healthcare for illegal immigrants, and they don’t see climate change as a threat.”-redstate.com. 8/25/19.

Conclusion: The American people, specifically Democratic voters, are not buying what the Democratic party is selling. The “bold, new agenda” is too radical a change/ concept from what has worked well for WeThePeople for 243 years. Another recent Gallup poll stated: 51% of Americans say socialism would be a bad thing for the country. Ironically, this is up from a 1942 Roper/ Fortune poll that found 40% of Americans describing socialism as a bad thing.-news.gallup.com. 5/20/19. Socialism, socialist ideas, policies, agenda’s, combined with the deranged freshman Congresswomen, have managed to alienate a large segment of the Democratic party. / Done

I started out a little nothing on Twitter 5 years ago. I always had a love for research, writing, digging for the truth. My very first writing class in Queens College, after I wrote my first paper, my Professor wanted to talk to me after class. Before I even sit down in her office, she says to me: “You’re very talented.” I said thank you, I appreciate that, but I’m also a practical kid. I knew pursuing writing out of college wasn’t a guaranteed job, so I became a Pharmacist. Now, as a Pharmacist for 44 years and an owner for 30 years, I now can devote time to my passion. My very first threaded tweet on Twitter was a hit, about how Sonny Bono was murdered, because even as a kid, I never believed that story that he died by slamming into a tree while skiing. It got a great response on Twitter and motivated me to do more research and writing. I was suspended from Twitter, but I always wrote on paper before writing on Twitter, and kept all my writings. I developed Thawts.net and took almost a year to rewrite everything onto my site. Now, anything I write is new stuff and about any subject of my choice. I hope you enjoy reading as much as I enjoy writing. Sincerely, Harvey Staub 👍🇺🇸
