The Angel Gabriel

During the Six Day Arab-Israeli war in 1967, a Syrian missile knocked an Israeli soldier out of his tank. He laid wounded on the ground and immobile. He saw enemy soldiers advancing towards him. They raised their guns. Then, all of a sudden, a golden figure appeared. This mysterious figure told him G-d wished for him to rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem. The soldier blacked out. When the soldier regained consciousness, he was safe and sound in a hospital. “Soon afterwards, he was visited by U.N. inspectors. As he told his story, they stared at him in astonishment. A few days earlier, the inspectors had interviewed a group of Syrian soldiers, who spoke of a golden figure who miraculously appeared between them and the injured Israeli, and put them to flight. It was proof that an Angel had indeed appeared in the field of battle to save him that day.”-theguardian.com. 12/21/12.

“Archangel Gabriel is known as the Angel of revelation or announcement. He plays a significant role in Christianity, Islam, Judaism, and many other faiths, acting as a messenger for G-d.”-thoughtco.com. 7/26/18.

“It is believed Gabriel can be recognized by a white or copper (golden) light and often delivers his messages…acting as their guardian Angel.”-thoughtco.com. 7/26/18.

The first mention of Gabriel is in an appearance to the Jewish Prophet Daniel (of the Lion’s den fame), in the 6th century B.C. Gabriel tells Daniel that he’s “been at war, and is going to fight those who remain.”…”Gabriel is an avenging Angel, sent to incite sinners into war. G-d sends Gabriel to strike a blow to the Assyrians (Ancient Syrians); Gabriel says “his sword has been sharpened since the six days of creation.”-myjewishlearning.com.

Gabriel also tells Daniel (Daniel 9:21) that Christ would appear and fulfill His ministry (verses 25-27). -lifehopeandtruth.com.

In Hebrew, Gabriel translates to “G-d’s power.” At times represented by the element of fire and at times, water. Regardless, he is known to be amongst the strongest of Angels.- myjewishlearning.com.

Christianity: In 3 B.C. Gabriel delivers a message to a priest named Zechariah. Gabriel says: “Do not be afraid Zechariah; your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son and you are to name him John”(The Baptist). -Luke 1:13-17. To Zechariah, it seems unbelievable because of Elizabeth’s advanced age. So Gabriel tells him: “You will be silent and unable to speak until the day these things take place, because you did not believe my words.”- Luke 1:20.

In Christianity, Gabriel came to Mary and foretold her of the birth of Jesus.-myjewishlearning.com. Gabriel tells Mary: “You have found favor with G-d. You will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and you are to name him Jesus. He will be called Son of the Most High and he will rule as King over the House of Jacob forever and there will be no end to his Kingdom.” -Luke 1:30-33. “He will be called the Son of G-d.”- Luke 1:35-36.

Islam: In 610 A.D. , Gabriel (Jibrail in Arabic) appeared to Muhammad, and instructed him to recite “in the name of your Lord.” This was the first of many revelations that became the basis of the Quran. One night, Gabriel came and lead him on a journey. Muhammad traveled from Mecca to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. There he prayed with other prophets: Moses, Abraham and Jesus. Gabriel then lead Muhammad through Paradise and Hell, coming face to face with G-d. He then returned to earth to continue spreading the message of Islam. According to Islamic belief, Muhammad was the only person to see Heaven and Hell while still alive.-metmuseum.org.

Conclusion: The Angel Gabriel, “G-d’s power”, has been very underrated in the history of mankind. Gabriel serves as a loyal servant, messanger, facilitator of G-d’s words. All three religions recognize Gabriel as a central influence in the development of their worshipers. The original intent of G-d was not to create competition between different religions; the intent was to bring all different people’s together respecting the Lord, being faithful to the Lord and each human being living a good, clean life. If all religions on earth could come together and make peace, respect each other’s differences; allow people to believe what they choose to believe, is probably the last great hope for mankind. / Done

I started out a little nothing on Twitter 5 years ago. I always had a love for research, writing, digging for the truth. My very first writing class in Queens College, after I wrote my first paper, my Professor wanted to talk to me after class. Before I even sit down in her office, she says to me: “You’re very talented.” I said thank you, I appreciate that, but I’m also a practical kid. I knew pursuing writing out of college wasn’t a guaranteed job, so I became a Pharmacist. Now, as a Pharmacist for 44 years and an owner for 30 years, I now can devote time to my passion. My very first threaded tweet on Twitter was a hit, about how Sonny Bono was murdered, because even as a kid, I never believed that story that he died by slamming into a tree while skiing. It got a great response on Twitter and motivated me to do more research and writing. I was suspended from Twitter, but I always wrote on paper before writing on Twitter, and kept all my writings. I developed Thawts.net and took almost a year to rewrite everything onto my site. Now, anything I write is new stuff and about any subject of my choice. I hope you enjoy reading as much as I enjoy writing. Sincerely, Harvey Staub 👍🇺🇸
