It was the beginning of the Walker-Bush lineage. Dorothy’s father was George Herbert “Bert” Walker. Bert founded one of the midwest’s earliest investment banking firms. Prescott Bush worked for Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH); it was the U.S. base for German Industrialist, Fritz Thyssen, a Nazi Party member. Thyssen was the major financier of Hitler in the 1930’s. Prescott Bush was part of a multinational network that allowed Thyssen to move assets around the world. Thyssen owned the largest steel and coal company in Germany and grew rich from Hitler re-arming Germany after World War I.

The New York Herald-Tribune ran an article: “Hitler’s Angel has $3 million in a U.S. Bank.” A secret nest egg hidden in New York for Thyssen and Nazi bigwigs, including Goebbels, Goering, Himmler and possibly Hitler.
