During the Six Day Arab-Israeli war in 1967, a Syrian missile knocked an Israeli soldier out of his tank. He laid wounded on the ground and immobile. He saw enemy soldiers advancing towards him. They raised their guns. Then, all of a sudden, a golden figure appeared. This mysterious figure told him G-d wished for him to rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem. The soldier blacked out. When the soldier regained consciousness, he was safe and sound in a hospital. “Soon afterwards, he was visited by U.N. inspectors. As he told his story, they stared at him in astonishment. The first mention of Gabriel is in an appearance to the Jewish Prophet Daniel (of the Lion’s den fame), in the 6th century B.C. Gabriel tells Daniel that he’s “been at war, and is going to fight those who remain.”…”Gabriel is an avenging Angel, sent to incite sinners into war. Christianity: In 3 B.C. Gabriel delivers a message to a priest named Zechariah. Gabriel says: “Do not be afraid Zechariah; your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son and you are to name him John”(The Baptist). -Luke 1:13-17. To Zechariah, it seems unbelievable because of Elizabeth’s advanced age. So Gabriel tells him: “You will be silent and unable to speak until the day these things take place, because you did not believe my words.”- Luke 1:20.

You will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and you are to name him Jesus. Islam: In 610 A.D. , Gabriel (Jibrail in Arabic) appeared to Muhammad, and instructed him to recite “in the name of your Lord.” This was the first of many revelations that became the basis of the Quran. One night, Gabriel came and lead him on a journey. Muhammad traveled from Mecca to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. There he prayed with other prophets: Moses, Abraham and Jesus. Gabriel then lead Muhammad through Paradise and Hell, coming face to face with G-d. He then returned to earth to continue spreading the message of Islam. Conclusion: The Angel Gabriel, “G-d’s power”, has been very underrated in the history of mankind. Gabriel serves as a loyal servant, messanger, facilitator of G-d’s words. All three religions recognize Gabriel as a central influence in the development of their worshipers. The original intent of G-d was not to create competition between different religions; the intent was to bring all different people’s together respecting the Lord, being faithful to the Lord and each human being living a good, clean life. If all religions on earth could come together and make peace, respect each other’s differences; allow people to believe what they choose to believe, is probably the last great hope for mankind. / Done
